Parvinder Thiara founded Athanor Capital, an investment firm, in 2017. He currently serves as a director of Zura Bio. He also served on the board of Tourmaline Bio from its founding in 2022 through its acquisition by Novartis in 2025. Earlier in his career, he held various roles at D.E. Shaw & Co., most recently as Senior Vice President. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry summa cum laude from Harvard College and a Master of Science in Theoretical Chemistry from the University of Oxford, where he was a Rhodes Scholar.
