Douglas Fambrough is Founder and Portfolio Manager of the KCap Biotechnology Fund. Prior to KCap, from 2010-2021 Doug was President & CEO of Dicerna Pharmaceuticals, a pioneer in RNA interference-based medicines that was acquired by Novo Nordisk, and which he co-founded in 2007. Prior to Dicerna, Doug spent 10 years with the venture capital firm Oxford Bioscience Partners where he specialized in financing innovative life science companies with transformative technologies. Doug holds a Ph.D. in genetics from UC Berkeley and a BA in biology from Cornell.
